Being home is an incredible feeling that makes you feel comfortable and peaceful. When war or any other disaster comes to your home and tears everything apart, it’s crucial to have a helping hand. We stand for every old person who lost their house due to an unexpected tragedy. More than 4.5 million people have left Ukraine and become refugees, as their houses were destroyed or are dangerous to stay in.

The problem of losing a home is especially unbearable for elderly people who turned out to be abandoned and alone. DobroDar Ukraine focuses on helping elderly people who need it most to find temporary or permanent places to live.

How can we help?

Besides the burden of being homeless, elderly people usually require additional medical or other qualified support. Full-time care is necessary for those who can’t help themselves. Our activities include:

sheltering elderly people who lost their relatives
providing 24/7 care for bedridden elderly people
organising various events within special institutions
providing financial support for paying for residence in retirement homes
supporting aging people throughout this journey to start a new life
